"School's out for summer...

school's out forever!" This morning I walked into the boys room singing this song, well the first two lines of the song anyway. Okay it's from before my time, but made a bit of a comeback when I was in high school, after being in a movie. At any rate, they didn't take to it too well. "Oh mom, that's just awful singing, stop singing." Well it didn't take long for them to remember that today was their last half day and they were up and ready to go. The end of the school year is still bittersweet for these guys. They are excited for summer and moving on to a new grade, but...they will miss their teachers (they love them so much!) and their friends too. They both had really good years! Amazing teachers all around. So they wrapped things up at school this morning. Sheesh, I think this whole last week was parties. Sam's class got to eat lunch at the park yesterday to celebrate.

These kiddos are ready for summer don't ya think?

So what are we going to do for 86 (according to Will) days of summer vacation? Play, play, play, and a little work too. The boys have a list of parks they want to visit and friends they want to see. So we have a deal, since my flowerbeds are out of control, we will weed a flowerbed in the morning before we get to do something fun. I'll let you know how it goes, they're not too excited about weeding. Sydney has her last day of preschool tomorrow morning and then in the afternoon we are going to do something fun to celebrate the official start of summer vacation.
