Last week was busy busy busy...I got to spend not one but two days at Hovander Park. Will's 1st grade class went on Thursday and Sydney's preschool class on Friday. The end of the school year is crazy busy with activities...lots of fun though. I can't even imagine what it will be like when they are in high school...although then they probably won't want mom along on everything huh?
Mmm....making butter...they ate the finished product on bread...pretty good. They did this after the house tour where they learned that every morning the family had to make their own bread (7 loaves a day), butter, milk the cow, chop the wood (boys chore), and to their surprise (and lots of giggles) empty the "potty pots" (girls chore, of course). BTW, is that Drew Carey? I thought he reminded me of someone, another mom pointed out the resemblance.

Pond Dippers
Checking out their dipping creatures (water striders, snails, clams, guppies etc.).
Phew...lots of water over the boardwalk...a few close calls...but nobody fell in.
Zero the Hero even made a surprise appearance on the field trip for the 160th day of school, he was waiting on the bus steps when it was time to go home!
