Will made these three crosses for me last year when Lucy was born. The day after she was born Mitch's mom took the kids to come visit us at the hospital and Will decided not to come. He stayed home to help Grandpa "work". My feelings were hurt. Why didn't he want to see me I wondered. The day we brought Lucy home Will surprised me with the wooden crosses. This is what he was working on with Grandpa. It was his gift to me. It was his idea. He insisted on making three. He was so proud of them. I was so touched! Every once in awhile this kid completely blows me away. We kept them up in the house all year and they are so special, but today on Good Friday they especially caught my attention. That's my sweet Willem!Friday, April 10, 2009

What a great reminder of God's own Son's sacrifice from your son. You were right to keep them.
