Fort Clatsop

While in Seaside one of the days started out wet and chilly. We decided to skip the beach and take a drive to Fort Clatsop. We had never been. Fort Clatsop is a replica of Lewis and Clark's winter encampment from 1805-1806. It was worth the little drive. Lots of interactive things for the kids to do and watch and the rangers dressed the part.

The highlight was Ranger Larry shooting the old musket.

The kids started fires using flint and steel. And we took a walk down to the canoe landing.
