Sunday Sydney asked Mitch to take off her training wheels. She was more than ready! The boys, Lucy and I went for a short bike ride and came back to Sydney cruising up and down the driveway. She caught on right away. Turns were a little bit of a struggle yet but she was going like crazy. By the end of the night turns were even going smoothly. By Monday she thought she was ready for tricks. Maybe just a little too much confidence, a missed turn, Eric's truck in the driveway or a combination of these things led to a big crash last night. I'm not sure if I have ever seen a nose bleed so much. Her nose and lip instantly started to swell. She doesn't look quite like herself, but she's tough, she'll be back doing tricks in no time.

She even managed a smile for me last night. She wanted to know if she could wear lipstick today so people wouldn't notice. She actually looks a little more beat up today. The swelling has gone down a bit but there is more road rash on and above her lip and on the side of her nose.
