The Great Pumpkins

Saturday night while we waited for Mitch and Will to get home from the Husky game we decided to start carving pumpkins. Sam was hoping Will would get home in time to carve one too, he didn't want him to feel like he missed out. Sam had only been asking if we could carve them every night for the last week, or two . So, they went out in the yard to get their pumpkins. Sam had his eyes set on the biggest pumpkin but then decided since he couldn't carry it it would probably be too much work to clean out, so he went with the second largest.

Sam wasn't too excited about the gunk. He was excited about saving the seeds.

Trying to get Lucy in a picture was challenging. She either wanted to grab the pumpkins or run away.
Will came home just as we finished up Sam, Sydney and Lucy's pumpkins, perfect timing! Sam was getting a little worried.

Will was so excited to see the pumpkins lit up on the porch he ran out and picked his pumpkin and got to work.

A little scary, a little goofy, lots of fun!

Don't forget the seeds! Soaked over night and ready to go in the oven. Mmmmm....tasty.
Noah and Eli stopped by to pick up a pumpkin last night. Eli was going for the biggest one too. According to Sam, Noah decided that looked like too much work too and they picked a different one. Can't wait to see how their pumpkin turned out.
Will is back at school after missing four days last week. Mitch is back at work after missing half of Thursday and Friday. Now Sydney has a fever and Lucy's not feeling so hot either. Sam still has been fine. I almost wish if he was going to get it though he would just get it already. This will be week two of being home bound. On the brighter side, no jury duty today. Call back after five....they sure like to leave ya hanging...
